Most lockouts have a simple cause: keys inside, mechanism jammed, or the door’s deadlocked and nobody’s home with a spare. A few are more complicated — a broken key in the barrel, a UPVC door that’s gone into security mode, a landlord situation where we need to see proof of occupancy first.
