Emergency boarding up — your property secured tonight.
Break-in, accident, storm damage or vandalism. We attend, board up damaged doors and windows, and leave your property weather-tight and secure — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Boarding up — what the job involves and what it doesn’t do.
Boarding up is a practical response to a specific problem: a door, window or shopfront that’s been damaged and can’t be secured by other means. Break-ins, accidental damage, storm impact, vehicle collision — the cause doesn’t change what needs to happen next, which is making the opening weather-tight and tamper-resistant until permanent repair is possible.
The boards we use are 18mm structural ply, fixed with security screws or through-bolts depending on the application. For ground-floor residential properties, we fit boards inside the frame where possible so they can’t be levered off from the outside. For commercial shopfronts, the approach is different — boards go over the frame with additional reinforcement, and we use head bolts to anchor them through to the interior structure.
One thing we’re clear about: boarding up is not a long-term solution. It buys you time — typically a few days to a few weeks — until the door, window or glazing can be permanently replaced. We don’t recommend it as a substitute for proper repair, and we don’t charge for something that doesn’t need boarding when a lock change or temporary lock-up would do.
After a break-in, we’ll also change any compromised locks as part of the same call. Getting the property boarded but leaving a damaged lock means the property isn’t actually secured — it just looks like it is.
Why customers choose us
- ✓24/7 response
Board-ups after break-ins happen at night as often as during the day. We attend around the clock.
- ✓Security-grade boarding
18mm structural ply, not thin sheet. Fixed with tamper-resistant screws, not tacks.
- ✓Lock change at the same visit
If the lock was damaged in the break-in, we’ll replace it in the same call. Boarding without fixing the lock is incomplete.
- ✓Insurance documentation
We provide a written report of the work done, suitable for insurance claims. Photos of the boarding can be included.
- ✓Commercial and residential
Doors, windows, shopfronts, garage doors. Single call for mixed damage.
Any breach, secured quickly.
Secured within the hour.
When you call us after a break-in or property damage, we dispatch the nearest engineer with boarding materials. In most UK cities, our engineer arrives within 30 minutes.
We carry plywood and hardboard sheeting, batten, screws and tools to board any size door or window opening. Boards are fixed securely from the inside where possible, to resist removal from outside.
Once the property is secured, we assess the lock and door situation. In many cases we can fit a new cylinder or temporary lock immediately — restoring normal access without waiting for a carpenter or glazier.
We provide written documentation of the work for insurance purposes. Most home and business insurance policies cover emergency boarding up under the building damage or emergency access clause.
